Advanced Orchestra
REQUIREMENTS
The Advanced Orchestra is a performing ensemble designed for the students intending to learn advanced skills necessary to participate in the Chamber Orchestra. Students learn Advanced literature and perform 3-4 concerts per school year. Students are expected to be proficient in first position, and knowledgeable in third position.
2025-2026 AUDITION PROCESS AND MATERIALS
All auditions for the 2025-2026 Performing Year will be held in February 2025. Auditions will be held in person at Baton Rouge Magnet High School.

Placement auditions are based on performance ability, and music theory knowledge. It is imperative that student musicians are placed in the ensemble that will benefit them the most. Auditioners for both Orchestras are required to perform four (4) two octave major scales, and two excerpts, and submit an Orchestra application.
